McIntyre Named AVCA NCAA Division III All-America Honorable Mention

2016 AVCA NCAA DIVISION III ALL-AMERICA TEAMS

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced the 2016 NCAA Division III All-America teams on Tuesday and Endicott's Tori McIntyre (San Diego, Calif.) was named Honorable Mention for the second consecutive season.

The senior is now the only Endicott player in program history to have earned the honor, becoming the first in the 2015 season. McIntyre's senior campaign was historic as the San Diego native also became the first in program history to be named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Year twice in her career, earning the distinction as a junior as well. The outside was named to the All-CCC First Team for the third time in her career after earning Honorable Mention honors as a freshman. She is the third player in program history to earn at least three First Team All-Conference nods, joining 2016 Hall of Fame inductee Meghan Hall '07 and Samantha Lampert '01 on that list.

In her final season dawning the Blue and Green, McIntyre became just the second women's player to eclipse the 1,300 kill and 1,300 dig plateau as she finished her season with 1,312 career kills and 1,.324 digs. Her 1,312 kills put her in second all-time on the career kills list while her 1,324 digs elevated her to eighth. During the 2016 campaign, McIntyre recorded a single season career-best 363 kills and 330 digs, which was her third best season defensively. The four year started also posted career-best numbers in kills/set (3.13), hitting percentage (.239), points (425.0), points/set (3.7), digs/set (2.84), and service aces/set (.40).
