CCC WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL WEEKLY RELEASE
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott seniors Tori McIntyre (San Diego, Calif.) and Erika Trudon (Coventry, Conn.) and freshman Zoey Gifford (Natick, Mass.) have all earned weekly awards from the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), as announced by the league office earlier today. McIntyre was named the CCC Player of the Week, while Trudon and Gifford were tabbed as the conference's Libero and Rookie of the Week, respectively.
CCC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
McIntyre led the Gulls to a 2-0 week, as both wins came against CCC competition. McIntyre averaged 4.13 kills/set, 3.13 digs/set and 4.9 points/set alongside back-to-back double-double performances versus the University of New England (UNE) and Salve Regina.
Against UNE, the senior recorded 16 kills and 11 digs before posting 17 kills and 14 digs against Salve Regina. McIntyre now has five double-doubles on the season and 31 for her career.
CCC LIBERO OF THE WEEK
In her first two matches back from injury, Trudon averaged 4.75 digs/set on the week. Trudon postied 21 in the four set win over UNE and 17 in the four set win over Salve Regina. She also chipped in six assists, combined, over the two matches on the week as well.
CCC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Operating as a setter in a 6-2 lineup, Gifford still averaged 5.00 assists/set and 2.38 digs/set for the week. Gifford recorded a 22 assist, 11 dig performance in the team's 3-1 win over Salve Regina for the third double-double of her career and also added 18 assists and eight digs in the Gulls' 3-1 victory against UNE.
