Springfield, Mass. - Endicott senior \#Brittney Phillips\# (Sudbury, Mass.) was named TCCC Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Gulls to three quality wins. The outside hitter averaged 3.83 kills and 3.67 digs per set as the Gulls soared to a 3-0 weekly record with wins over Bowdoin — the fifth-ranked team in the latest NCAA New England Region Rankings — and TCCC Championship qualifiers Gordon and Salve Regina. Phillips registered 18 kills and 13 digs in an impressive 3-2 victory over Bowdoin, added eight kills and 12 digs in a 3-0 sweep of Gordon, and posted a career-high 20 kills to go with 19 digs in a 3-1 win over Salve Regina.
Endicott sophomore \#Ashley Norley\# (Sudbury, Mass.) was named TCCC Libero of the Week after pacing the Gulls defensively in three wins. Norley averaged 4.92 digs per set and topped the 20-dig milestone in two of the Gulls’ three victories last week. She posted 27 digs in a key regional matchup against Bowdoin, ranked fifth in the NCAA New England region. Norley added 12 digs in a 3-0 win over TCCC rival Gordon and closed out the regular season with 20 digs in a 3-1 triumph at TCCC opponent Salve Regina. With her performance, Norley registered 20 or more digs for the ninth time this season and for the 13th time as a Gull.
Endicott will host a TCCC Championship quarterfinal matchup with Gordon on Tuesday (Nov. 2) at 7:00 pm.
