Endicott honors seniors, defeat Gordon 3-0

Beverly, Mass. – The Endicott women’s volleyball team defeated Gordon College 3-0 (25-14, 25-10, 25-19) to improve to 19-14 (8-1 TCCC) behind the strong play of junior \#Elyse Barbour\# (Greenville, R.I.) and freshman \#Callie Dolan\# (Westford, Mass.) who each had seven kills in the match.
Gordon dropped to 6-20 overall with a 3-5 TCCC record. The Fighting Scots were led by sophomore Alex Nawoichik (South Hamilton, Mass.) who had a team-high six kills. 
Barbour and Dolan were near perfect on the day with only one error on a combined 36 attacks between them. Senior outside hitter \#Brittany Phillips\# (Sudbury, Mass.) added eight kills and 12 digs in the victory. 
Junior setter \#Sarah Allshouse\# (Berthoud, Colo.) compiled 18 assists in the first two sets before giving way to senior \#Ally Murphy\# (Gilford, N.H.) who tallied six assists in the third frame. Murphy defensively added eight digs which was second best on the team. On the other side of the court, Gordon’s Jessica Taber (Detroit, Mich.) had 16 assists in the loss.
The Gulls were strong at the net defensively with five different players recording blocks.  Leading the team was senior \#Amy Grigg\# (Vernon, Conn.) whose three block assists brought her to within 10 blocks of the Endicott women’s volleyball program record in that statistic. Allshouse, Dolan, and freshman \#Carly Beers\# (Traverse City, Mich.) each had two assisted blocks a piece with Dolan adding a solo putdown of her own. 
On the defensive end for the Fighting Scots, sophomore libero Keri Hustus (Eastford, Conn.) finished one dig shy of double-digits with nine to lead the visitors. 
Before the match, Endicott took time to honor seniors Amy Grigg, Ally Murphy, and Brittany Phillips for their four years of dedicated service to the women’s volleyball program. Over the course of their time in the Blue and Green, the Gulls have amassed an 88-57 record to-date with two TCCC Championships.
Endicott will play their final regular season match against Salve Regina on Saturday, October 30 at 1:00 pm in Newport, R.I. Gordon will compete in a conference tri-match against Anna Maria College and Roger Williams University in Paxton on Saturday starting at 10:00 am.
