CANTON, N.Y. – The Endicott women's ice hockey team traveled to SUNY Canton for a Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) contest on Saturday afternoon and came away with a 6-2 victory.
Jade Meier (Fairbanks, Alaska) recorded the third hat-trick in program history as she netted three goals in the second period. Also scoring for the Gulls were Jillian Gibbs (Burlington, Vt.) with two goals and Ashlie Jones (Billerica, Mass.).
SUNY Canton saw goals from Tess Adams (Calgary, Alta.) and Alexa Parigi (Nutley, N.J.).
Alyssa Peterson (Cranberry Township, Pa.) improved to 4-0-1 on the season and made 18 saves during the win.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Earning assists on the afternoon were Lauren Ferraiuolo (North Haven, Conn.), Emma McDowell (Alexandria, Va.), Dynnea Bezona (Fairbanks, Alaska), Courtney Walpole (Allen, Texas), Michaela McNamara (Warwick, R.I.) (2), and Gibbs (2).
- The Gulls now hold a 7-0-0 series advantage over the Roos.
- Endicott held a 27-20 shot advantage over SUNY Canton.
- Meier had a team-high eight shots.
- Maggie Layo (Sandwich, Mass.) and Walpole each won nine faceoffs for the Gulls.
FOR THE FOES
- Brook Susac (Bowmanville, Ont.) shifted to 6-10-2 with the loss and made 13 saves. Kristen Caporusso (Aurora, Ont.) closed out the game and made eight saves during the third period.
- Sydney Jordan (Prince George, B.C.) and Tessa Dobson (Moose Factory, Ont.) added assists on Parigi's tally.
- Breanna Bedborough (Brampton, Ont.) led the team in shots with five.
- Jessica Pele (Estevan, Sask.) won a team-high nine faceoffs.

Endicott (17-2-2, 8-0-2 CHC) hosts Morrisville State on Friday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. SUNY Canton (7-11-2, 3-4-1 CHC) travels to SUNY Potsdam for a 7 p.m. contest on Tuesday, Feb. 6.
