Women’s Ice Hockey Ends First Season in Style
BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's ice hockey team finished their first full season as an independent program on Friday night with a resounding 11-6 victory at Babson College.

After breaking apart from a co-op team with Salem State University, the Gulls posted a 5-6-1 record this year and ended the campaign with a two-game win streak that will serve as a springboard into 2013-14.

Goalie Katey O'Hara (Amherst, N.H.) had her first start in net and made 17 saves, many from point-blank range.

The first line of Sam Parr (Dedham, Mass.), MacKenzie Hurst (Gilford, N.H.) and Sara Ankerud (Groton, Mass.) combined for 15 points as they dominated any defense Babson put out against them.

Parr had 4 goals and Hurst had a hat-trick herself, with each of them picking up three assists in the game. Ankerud, in her final game in a Gulls uniform, chipped in with 2 assists as well.

Also scoring for Endicott were Lindsey Sneider (Gorham, Maine), who scored twice and set up two goals, Lexi Bird (Lebanon, N.H.), who had a goal and an assist, and Addie Weeks (Harwichport, Mass.), who scored once to go with two helpers.

Endicott finishes their schedule with back-to-back road wins, after beating MIT last Sunday.

The Gulls return will return a strong nucleus in 2013-2014 as only seniors Riley O'Neil (Barre, Mass.) and Sara Ankerud graduate.
