Endicott?s Ceciley Chisholm named TCCC Co-Player of the Year
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott College senior center \#Ceciley Chisholm\# (Lexington, Mass.) has been named the 2010 The Commonwealth Coast Conference’s Co-Player of the year as announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Tuesday morning. Chisholm was also named to the All-TCCC First Team and the Gulls placed a pair of players on the All-TCCC Third Team in \#Ashley Wright\# (Merrimack, N.H.) and \#Ashley Vitale\# (Wilmington, Mass.). Voting for the All-TCCC teams and each of the major awards was conducted among TCCC women’s basketball coaches.

Chisholm shared the Player of the Year honor with Colby-Sawyer’s Terri Duffy. Wentworth Institute of Technology senior Michelle Fauci was selected TCCC Defensive Player of the Year, Western New England freshman Emily Savino was named TCCC Rookie of the Year, Western New England College’s Kailah Al-Darraji honored as TCCC Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year, University of New England’s Anthony Ewing was named TCCC Coach of the Year, and Gordon College received the Team Sportsmanship Award.

Chisholm is the leader of an Endicott team that enters TCCC Championship play as the number two seed. Chisholm leads the Gulls in overall scoring and rebounding, with 16.5 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Her production increased during TCCC play, as she averaged 17.5 points per game, which tied for third in the league, and 6.8 rebounds per game, which ranked 17th. A weapon on the offensive glass, Chisholm ranks sixth in the conference in conference-only offensive rebounds per game (3.2). Owner of a deadly shooting touch, Chisholm led all TCCC players with a sparkling .533 field goal percentage in conference play, while also ranking 10th in steals per game (3.3). Chisholm currently ranks 33rd among NCAA Division III players in field goal percentage. For the first time in her career, Chisholm was selected to the All-TCCC First Team. The senior had garnered a Second-Team selection in 2007-08.

Endicott’s \#Ashley Wright\# was selected to her first All-TCCC team after averaging 14.3 points per game, good for 10th in the conference. Wright was also in the top-10 of several other categories including being ninth in assists (3.2 apg), third in free throw percentage (.836), second in steals (4.0 spg), seventh in three-point field goal percentage (.364), second in three pointers made (2.3 per game) while leading the TCCC in minutes per game (37.0 mpg).

\#Ashley Vitale\# was selected to her second-straight All-TCCC team as the junior center was a Second Team selection in 2008-09. This season, Vitale was third on the team in scoring (11.2 ppg) while also being second on the team in rebounding (6.1 rpg). Vitale was 10th in the conference in field goal percentage (.445) while also being seventh in free throw percentage (.783). \#Ashley Vitale\# also helped out on the defensive side as she registered 1.5 blocks per game, good for fourth in the TCCC.

The Blue and Green return to action on Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m. when the \#2 seeded Gulls host \#7 Western New England College in the first round of the TCCC playoffs.
