Arduini, Oram, Misiaszek Earn CCC Player Of The Week Honors

CCC WEEKLY RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott softball student-athletes Hayley Arduini (Southington, Conn.), Maggie Oram (Lexington, Mass.), and Lauren Misiaszek (Londonderry, N.H.) earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week honors, as announced by the conference office on Monday morning. Arduini was named Player of the Week, while Oram was selected Pitcher of the Week and Misiaszek was named Rookie of the Week. 

Arduini was a force at the plate as the top-seeded Gulls captured the 2019 CCC Softball Tournament Championship. She batted .429 (6-for-14) with a 1.214 slugging percentage in the tournament, picking up hits in all but one of the Gulls' tournament games. She saved her best performance for the championship round as she slugged three home runs over two games against No. 2 seed University of New England to help secure the conference crown for her team. She scored four runs and drove in seven in five tournament contests.

Oram went 3-0 in three CCC Tournament contests as the Gulls captured the 2019 CCC Tournament crown. All three starts were complete games culminating in a five-inning perfect game victory in the deciding contest of the CCC Championship against No. 2 seed University of New England. She had seven strikeouts during that victory. Earlier in the tournament, she tossed another complete game shutout allowing only five hits to No. 5 seed Roger Williams and recorded a 9-1 win against No. 4 seed Salve Regina.  She had six strikeouts against the Seahawks. Overall, in 17.0 innings pitched, Oram posted a 0.41 ERA.

Misiaszek batted .563 (9-for-16) in five CCC Tournament contests as the Gulls claimed the conference crown. She had hits in all five contests, including three multi-hit games. Her strongest game came in Sunday's championship clincher in which she went 3-for-3 with three doubles and three RBI. Overall, Misiaszek scored four runs and drove in five during the tournament.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (32-5) awaits the announcement of the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament pairings. The Gulls earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament when they won the CCC Championship.
