Northeastern Bests Endicott To Capture Inaugural Roller Beanpot Championship, 3-2

TIVERTON, R.I. — The Endicott roller hockey team lost to Northeastern, 3-2, in the Inaugural Roller Beanpot Championship on Sunday afternoon at the Longplex | Family & Sports Center.

Northeastern scored twice in the first period (6:00, 11:15) and never relinquished the lead the rest of the way.

Following a scoreless second period, Charlie Kenyon (Mount Hermon, Mass.) gave Endicott some much-needed momentum with a tally just 56-seconds into the final frame.

Northeastern answered a little over six minutes later via a penalty shot and that tally proved to be the difference.

Colby Ciffolillo (Canton, Mass.) made things interesting with a goal at the 9:20 mark, but the Huskies held on down the stretch to secure the Inaugural Roller Beanpot Championship.

In goal, Colin Sampson (Newton, Mass.) made nine saves in the setback.
