Men’s Cross Country Ranks Third At CNE Championship

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Endicott men's cross country team finished third at the Conference of New England (CNE) Championship on Saturday afternoon, hosted by Western New England.

Roger Williams took home the team title for the fourth straight season with 38 points.

Suffolk (50), Endicott (96), Wentworth (105), Hartford (112), Gordon (186), the University of New England (202), Western New England (211), Nichols (227), and Curry (322) followed suit.

Individually, the Gulls were led by CNE All-Conference performances from Josh Lehmann (Gorham, Maine) and Caleb Nye (Hinesburg, Vt.) on the 8-kilometer course.

Lehmann ranked fifth overall in a school record time of 25:45.50, while Nye clocked in at 26:01.03 for eighth overall.

Student-athletes receive CNE All-Conference honors for finishing 15th overall or better. An official release including All-Conference selections and postseason major award winners will be announced by the CNE next week.

The remainder of Endicott's scoring lineup included Dawson Romito (Boxford, Mass.), Cooper Downey (Hudson, N.H.), and Shane Cataloni (Attleboro, Mass.) in 21st, 25th, and 47th () places, respectively.


INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • The Gulls posted their best top-5 average in program history (26:56).
  • Lehmann, Nye, Dawson, Henry Bybee (Hampton, N.H.), Cataloni, and Jon Rodrigues (Walpole, Mass.) all registered personal bests.
  • Bybee was 52nd overall (28:44.70), while Rodrigues finished 89th overall (30:34.02).
  • The top-5 spread was 2:49 and the top-7 spread was 4:10.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott will compete in the NCAA DIII East Regional Championship on Saturday, November 16 in Contoocook, N.H. (Hopkinson State Fair Grounds).
