Men’s Cross Country Finishes 13th At Suffolk Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. – The Endicott men's cross country team placed 13th overall at the Suffolk Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Franklin Park.

Dartmouth ranked first overall in the 23 team field with a score of 29 points.

The remainder of the top-10 featured Colby (75), Harvard (81), Bowdoin (117), Babson (204), Southern Maine (230), Suffolk (231), Plymouth State (265), Worcester State (267), and Husson (298).

Meanwhile, Gordon (320), Fitchburg State (333), Endicott (364), Wheaton (376), and UMass Dartmouth (380) rounded out the top-15 in the 23-field race.

Individually for the Gulls, Colin Costa (West Newbury, Mass.) finished 42nd overall in 28:01 on the challenging 8-kilometer course.

Costa was followed by Caleb Nye (Hinesburg, Vt.), Cooper Downey (Hudson, N.H.), Andrew Lauzon (North Andover, Mass.), and Shane Cataloni (Attleboro, Mass.). The foursome of Gulls ranked 54th (28:24), 64th (28:50), 94th (30:24), and 110th (31:16), respectively. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • Costa ran a 5:38 pace throughout the 8-kilometer course.
  • This is Endicott's third time running an 8-kilometer course this season.
  • Today's race featured three NCAA Division I programs in Dartmouth, Harvard, and UMass Lowell (did not factor into scoring).

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott will compete in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship on Saturday, October 30, hosted by Western New England in West Springfield, Mass.
