Riorden, Healy Sweep NECC Men’s Volleyball Weekly Awards

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott sophomore Troy Riorden (Fairport, N.Y.) and freshman Ryan Healy (Fair Lawn, N.J.) have both earned weekly awards from the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC), as announced by the league office earlier today. Riorden was named the NECC Player of the Week, while Healy claimed NECC Rookie of the Week accolades.

Riorden guided Endicott to a 2-0 week in league play against Elms and Newbury by recording 30 kills (4.29 p/s), a .344 hitting percentage, 12 digs, four service aces, and two blocks (both assisted). Riorden also tied his career-high for kills (15) in both matches on the week, and compiled his second double-double of the season against Elms last Tuesday.

Healy produced 2.86 digs per set (20 total) and registered a .981 serve-receive percentage (52 attempts/1 error) to solidify the Gulls' back row last week. Against Newbury on Saturday, Healy registered 11 digs (3.67 p/s) to notch his sixth double-digit dig-effort in a match this season.

Endicott (11-8, 6-0 NECC) hosts Regis on tonight inside MacDonald Gymnasium at 7 p.m.
