SPRINGFIELD, Mass. The Endicott men's soccer team is pleased to recognize eight members earning 2016 Men's Soccer Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) All-Conference honors, headlined by Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Coach of the Year award winners, as selected by the conference's 10 head coaches and announced Friday by the conference office.

Senior goalkeeper Nick Weinstein (Trumbull, Conn.) was named CCC Defensive Player of the Year, while freshman forward Evan Couchot (Mason, Ohio) took home CCC Rookie of the Year under the direction of sixth-year head coach Joe Calabrese, who was voted Coach of the Year in back-to-back seasons.

Couchot was placed on the All-CCC Second Team alongside junior back Brendan McLaughlin (Colchester, Conn.) Junior forward/midfielder Dario Neukom (Palma de Mallorca, Spain) and senior back Jonathan DeJesus (Bridgeport, Conn.) rounded out the Third Team members.

For the first time ever, Endicott collected Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Coach of the Year honors in the same season. Additionally, Endicott garnered Defensive Player of the Year awards in consecutive seasons as junior back Carter Ocko (Danvers, Mass.) was named Co-DPOY in 2015, while Couchot's Rookie of the Year honor is the team's first since Jordan Daniel bestowed the honor in 2012. In the team's 23-year history, the Gulls have now garnered two Defensive Player of the Year awards, four Rookies of the Year, and have had four Coach of the Year recipients.
