Cohane, Couchot Named CCC Weekly Award Winners

CCC ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR THE WEEK OF SEPT. 12- SEPT. 18

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Junior back Ryan Cohane (Easton, Conn.) and freshman forward Evan Couchot (Mason, Ohio) were tabbed as Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's soccer weekly award winners as announced today by the conference office.

For the second week in a row, the Endicott men's soccer team brought home CCC Defensive Player of the Week and CCC Rookie of the Week honors.

Cohane, a first-time CCC Defensive Player of the Week honoree, picked up his first career assist as the Gulls went 1-0-1 on the week and opened conference play with a 3-0 shutout versus Curry. Cohane and the Endicott back line surrendered just one goal on the week.

Couchot, earning his first-time CCC Rookie of the Week nod, tallied his first career assist in the team's 3-0 victory over Curry. Couchot currently leads the Gulls with seven points (3 g, 1 a) this season.

The Gulls are back in action tonight as they welcome the Trinity (Conn.) Bantams to Beverly, Mass. for a non-conference tilt at 7:30 p.m.
