Six Gulls Claim NCR Scholastic All-America Accolades

BEVERLY, Mass. – Six members of the Endicott men's rugby team have earned 2022-23 National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Scholastic All-American honors. 

The Gulls' honorees were Ryan Cafferky (Medford, Mass.), Ryan Curley (Marshfield Hills, Mass.), Kyle Ernest (Severna Park, Md.)Matthew Hicks (Clifton Park, N.Y.)Graham Lynch (Windsor, Conn.), and Lyndon Silver (Topsfield, Mass.).

To qualify as an NCR Scholastic All-American, student-athletes must maintain a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or higher for the academic year and be rostered for 50% of the Fall 15s A-side matches or rostered for 50% of the A-side Spring 7s tournaments.

This selective group of Scholastic All-Americans represents about one out of 20 student-athletes competing in college rugby.

In total, 760 student-athletes earned the honor, including 522 on the men's side. 


YEAR IN REVIEW

Endicott placed third at 15s Nationals and fifth in 7s Nationals behind a 34-5 overall record. The Gulls also won two CCRC Championships and one NCR Regional Title.
