Men's Rugby Posts Perfect 5-0 Record At NEC7C's Tournament

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Endicott club men's rugby team traveled to Brown University last Sunday to kick off the start of its 7s season. The Gulls came to play and went 5-0 finishing the tournament with a +109 point differential.

Endicott faced Southern Connecticut University (36-12), Brown University (26-5) and the University of Maine (24-10) in pool play, before facing CCRC rival Wentworth (24-0) in the semifinals, leading to a rematch against the University of Maine, which the Gulls won, 31-5, to clinch the tournament win. Over the duration of the tournament, Endicott never trailed once, while eight Different Gulls recorded a try.

WHAT'S NEXT

The Gulls have a two-week hiatus before they host the CCRC 7s Championship at Hempstead Stadium on Sunday, March 29, starting at 10 AM. The tournament champion receives an automatic bid for the National Championship Tournament.
