NCAA TOURNAMENT: Men’s Golf Begins Play On Tuesday Morning

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's golf team is scheduled to compete in the NCAA Tournament from May 10-13 in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. Here's a preview of the tournament.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

The team and individual champions will be determined after 72 holes of play or the conclusion of the last fully completed round. 

Forty-three teams and six individuals not on one of those teams will be selected to participate in the championships. 

After 36 holes of competition, the field will be cut to the top 18 teams and top six individuals not on one of those teams. 

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Live stats will be available throughout the week. 
  • Endicott is scheduled to tee off from hole 10 at 11:45 AM on Tuesday.
  • The Gulls' lineup includes Frank Mahoney (Braintree, Mass.), Kyle Mahoney (Braintree, Mass.), Brady Burke (Bedford, N.H.), Tyler Baker (Falmouth, Maine), and Nicholas Grimbilas (Strafford, N.H.)
  • Endicott's best finish at the NCAA Tournament occurred in 2013-14 when the Gulls ranked No. 31 overall out of 41 programs
  • Rounds one and two will take place on the El Campeon course (Par: 72, Yardage: 6,748), while advancing teams and individuals will compete at the Las Colinas Course (Par: 71, Yardage: 6,792) in rounds three and four.
