BEVERLY, Mass. - Following the team's 14th place showing at the Duke Nelson Invitational in Middlebury, Vt., freshman Brady Burke (Bedford, N.H.) has been named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week for his individual performance.
Burke posted an opening round of 74 on day one of the invitational which was hosted at the Ralph Myhre Golf Club. The par 71, 6,458 yard course saw the freshman fire a second day 80 to finish tied for 36th overall in the 113 man field.
Burke's total of 154 was two strokes behind Endicott's low total of 152, and his round of 74 served as the Gulls' lowest round of the tournament.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Gulls will travel to Old Orchard Beach, Maine on Wednesday to compete in the CCC Fall Championship Qualifier. The top four seeds at the qualifier will earn the right to compete for the CCC title in the spring.
