Gulls Claim Victory in First Spring Competition at the Endicott Invitational

SALEM, Mass. - The Endicott golf team defended their home course on Tuesday afternoon by defeating the Hawks of Roger Williams and the Vikings of Salem State at the Endicott Invitational at Kernwood Country Club. Endicott edged Salem State by nine strokes (319) and held a 27 stroke edge over Roger Williams (337).

Medalist honors went to Nicholas Grimbilas (Strafford, N.H.) as the junior shot a round of +3, 73 on the par 70, 6,456 yard course. 

The Gulls also received standout performances from Tyler Baker (Falmouth, Maine)Brady Burke (Bedford, N.H.), and Frank Mahoney (Braintree, Mass.) who all tied for third with rounds of 79 in the field of 15. 

Endicott also saw Kyle Mahoney (Braintree, Mass.)Jack Bushee (Bennington, Vt.), and Will Pierce (Melrose, Mass.) shoot well as individuals, recording rounds of 73, 76 and 77, respectively. 

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott will have one more tune-up before the two-day Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship as the Gulls travel to the Roger Williams Invitational on Monday, Apri 25. Following that, Endicott will join host Nichols, along with Suffolk and the University of New England for the two-day Championship on April 30 and May 1 at the Raceway Golf Club in Thompson, Conn.
