Springfield, Mass. - Endicott College junior forward Joey Burgos (Lawrence, Mass./Lawrence) has been named to The Commonwealth Coast Conference Honorable Mention team, as announced by conference Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye.
In 17 games this season, Burgos averaged 9.7 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Joey has also turned in just under one block per contest, posting 16 in his 17 outings. Burgos has averaged 22-minutes per game in 2007-2008.
A total of 13 different institutions from The Commonwealth Coast Conference were represented on the 2007-08 All-TCCC Men's Basketball Team and the list of major individual award winners. In addition to the all-conference team, Roger Williams University senior Geoff Baranger was named TCCC Player of the Year, Western New England College senior Asif Adbul-Wadud was named TCCC Defensive Player of the Year, Nichols College freshman Garret Bishop was named TCCC Rookie of the Year, Salve Regina forward Stephen Walsh was named TCCC Senior-Scholar Athlete of the Year, Roger Williams University's Michael Tully was named TCCC Coach of the Year, and Regis College was the recipient of the Team Sportsmanship Award.
