Teixeira's fourth shutout of season guides Gulls to 1-0 win

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – Endicott College won its fourth consecutive game as senior \#Megan McBride\# (Saugus, Mass.) tallied the game-winning goal in the 66th minute to lead the Gulls to a 1-0 victory over SUNY New Paltz on Saturday afternoon in New Paltz, N.Y. The Gulls improve to 8-6 overall while the Hawks fall to 4-8 overall.

The Gulls appeared to be outplayed throughout the game as the Hawks held a distinct edge in shots, 10-4, and penalty corners, 11-3. McBride, however, provided all the offense the Gulls would need as her third goal of the season broke a 0-0 tie and sent the Gulls back home to Beverly with the 1-0 victory.

\#Taylor Teixeira\# (Exeter, N.H.) made five saves for her fourth shutout of the year while Elizabeth Dini made one stop for the Hawks.

The Gulls return to action on Tuesday as Endicott travels to Newport, R.I. for a TCCC matchup with Salve Regina University at 4:00 p.m.. New Paltz looks to snap a five-game losing streak when the Hawks face-off with cross-town rival Vassar College at 4:30 p.m.
