Bristol, R.I. –
The \#2 seed Endicott women’s volleyball team successfully reached their sixth conference championship match in seven years, but fell to \#1 seed Roger Williams University 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-15). Roger Williams won their second consecutive The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) title.

Despite the loss, Gulls senior middle blocker \#Amy Grigg\# (Vernon, Conn.) made program history as her second block of the match set the Endicott all-time blocks record. Grigg finished with one solo block and two assisted blocks on the day.

Endicott (22-15) struggled on the attack, recording more errors (26) than they did kills (24) compared to a .248 hit percentage for Roger Williams. The Hawks totaled 41 kills and just 14 errors as a team.

Leading the Gulls was sophomore outside hitter \#Falyn Torelli\# (Pelham, N.Y.) who had a team-high eight kills. Senior \#Brittany Phillips\# (Sudbury, Mass.) was second-best with seven kills and junior \#Elyse Barbour\# (Greenville, R.I.) had five kills with just one error.

Junior setter \#Sarah Allshouse\# (Berthoud, Colo.) found her attackers for 20 assists. She also recorded nine digs.

For the Hawks, sophomore outside hitter Kelsey Twarog (Barkhamsted, Conn.) led all attackers with 14 kills. Three other Roger Williams players contributed offensively as Rebekah Dion (Old Saybrook, Conn.), Krystie Luczynski (Kensington, Conn.), and Marybeth Torpey (Quincy, Mass.) had nine, eight, and seven kills, respectively.

Roger Williams’ libero Jill Hurd (Sunapee, N.H.) led her team 13 digs but her counterpart, Gulls sophomore \#Ashley Norley\# (Sudbury, Mass.) had a match-high 21.

Early in the first set, the Hawks took a 2-0 lead but Endicott stormed back to win nine of the next 11 points to hold a 9-4 advantage. Roger Williams rebounded with a nine for 11 run of their own to retake the lead which they would not relinquish, winning set one 25-22.

In both the second and third sets, Endicott and Roger Williams exchanged points back-and-forth but the Hawks managed to separate themselves from the Gulls to complete the straight set victory.
