Endicott sweeps Lions 3-0 in TCCC volleyball

Quincy, Mass. — The Endicott College women’s volleyball team relied on a steady offensive attack and solid defense in a three set sweep of Eastern Nazarene College Wednesday night. The visiting Gulls of Endicott allowed the Lions to record just ten kills in route to the 3-0 TCCC victory.
 
Endicott came out strong winning the first set 25-13. The Lions were unable to bounce back as Endicott took the next two sets by scores of 25-7 and 25-13.

Endicott sophomore \#Elyse Barbour\# (Greenville, R.I.) led all players with nine kills while teammates \#Allison Schait\# (Mattituck, N.Y.) and \#Ashley Norley\# (Sudbury, Mass.) contributed to the offense with seven kills each.
 
\#Sarah Allshouse\# (Berthoud, Colo.) led the Gulls’ offensive attack with 17 assists.
 
Endicott’s \#Allison Murphy\# (Gilford, N.H.) anchored the defense with seven digs.  Schait, Allshouse, and Barbour also contributed with six digs.

Three Gulls players tied for a game high 3 blocks apiece.  

For Eastern Nazarene, Amber Burns (Fall River, Mass.) contributed to the offense with 5 kills while Kaitlyn Yoder added three kills.
 
The win bolsters Endicott’s record to 16-9 on the season and 7-1 in TCCC play. The loss drops Eastern Nazarene to 3-19 and 1-6 in conference play.
 
Endicott will travel to Wellesley on Friday as the Gulls take part in the Wellesley College Invitational.
