Women's volleyball suffers road loss to UMass Boston

Boston, Mass. – Endicott College took the first set of a non-conference road match against UMass Boston, but dropped the final three sets to lose 3-1 (20-25,25-20, 25-16, 25-17) to the Beacons on Thursday night. The Gulls dropped to 7-3 (1-0 TCCC) while UMass Boston improved to 9-1. 

Senior \#Brittany Phillips\# (Sudbury, Mass.) led all attackers with 11 kills on 39 attempts but her effort was not enough to lift the Gulls to victory against UMass Boston. \#Elyse Barbour\# (Greenville, R.I.) added seven kills and both \#Falyn Torelli\# (Pelham, N.Y.) and \#Callie Dolan\# (Westford, Mass.) had five kills a piece on offense for Endicott. 

The Blue and Green’s junior setter \#Sarah Allshouse\# (Berthoud, Colo.) tallied 17 set assists while \#Ashley Norley\# (Sudbury, Mass.) and Phillips dominated on the defensive side of the net with 22 and 12 digs, respectively. 

Barbour was effective at the net with one solo block and three assisted blocks and senior \#Amy Grigg\# (Vernon, Conn.) added a solo block and two assisted blocks of her own. 

Endicott will return to the court on Saturday, September 18 for a conference tri-match against Regis College and University of New England in Biddeford, Maine.
