Match One vs. Springfield College

In Endicott’s opening match of the MIT Invitational, Springfield College handed the Gulls a 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-16) loss.
Junior \#Elyse Barbour\# (Greenville, R.I.) led the Blue and Green with 10 kills on 16 attacks with just two errors for a .500 hit percentage. Complementing Barbour’s effort was senior \#Brittany Phillips\# (Sudbury, Mass.) who added eight kills and chipped in on the defensive end with 10 digs.
Also making a presence defensively at the net were Barbour and senior middle blocker \#Amy Grigg\# (Vernon, Conn.). The duo had five block assists each.
Junior transfer \#Sarah Allshouse\# (Berthoud, Colo.) dished out 26 assists to her teammates in the loss.
Freshman \#Callie Dolan\# (Westford, Mass.) and sophomore \#Falyn Torelli\# (Pelham, N.Y.) both had four kills in the match.
Match Two vs. Colby College

The Gulls responded with a hard fought 3-0 (25-22, 29-27, 33-31) triumph over Colby College in their second match of the day. Torelli led the attack with 13 kills and Allshouse added 29 set assists in the win.
Endicott proved to be tough defensively once again as four players recorded double-digit digs with Allshouse leading the way with 19. \#Ashley Norley\# (Sudbury, Mass.) Phillips, and Ally Murphy (Gilford, N.H.) had 16,14, and 11 digs, respectively.
At the net, the Gulls as a team had 18 block assists with Grigg having a team-high six.
Adding to the offensive attack were Phillips who had nine kills and Barbour who totaled seven kills.
