2013-14 Endicott Women's Tennis Schedule

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's tennis team's quest for a third straight Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) title and NCAA Division III Tournament appearance begins on August 30th as the athletic program released the Gulls schedule for the fall 2013 season.  The schedule contains an eight-match league schedule and five non-conference contests culminating in the CCC Tournament in mid-October.

"We've had a tough road through the last two conference tournaments," said second-year head coach Jeremy Howard.  "Our goal this year will be the top seed in the CCC Tournament.  We lost two seniors to graduation, but we should be able to offset that loss with the development of our younger players including the input of a few incoming freshman."

Endicott, three-time champions of the CCC with title winning seasons in each of the last two years, begins their season on Friday, August 30th at home against North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) and NCAA Tournament qualifier Colby-Sawyer.  The match against the Chargers kick starts a three-match non-conference run before the CCC schedule begins.  The Gulls hit the road on August 31st (at Wellesley) and September 3rd (at Emerson) leading up to their league opening on Saturday, September 7th at 2012 Endicott's CCC Tournament Semifinal opponent Roger Williams in Bristol, Rhode Island.

The Blue and Green will also anticipate their September 28th regular season match against their opponent in each of the last two CCC Championship matches when they travel to Dudley, Massachusetts to face Nichols.  Endicott has defeated Nichols 5-1 (2012) and 5-3 (2011) in each the last two title matches.

Sandwiched in between Endicott's league opener at Roger Williams and their marquee matchup with Nichols, the Gulls have two North Shore Cup meetings with league rival Gordon and non-conference foe Salem State.  Endicott hosts both teams at their South Campus Courts on Saturday, September 14th (Gordon) and Saturday, September 21st (Salem State).

Following their regular season finale on Saturday, October 5th at home against conference opponent Wentworth, Endicott hopes to enter into CCC Tournament Quarterfinal play on Tuesday, October 8th.  The semifinal round occurs two days later with the CCC Championship to be decided on Saturday, October 12th.   The winner will earn a bid into the 2014 NCAA Division III Tournament.

Endicott also expects to fill out their 2013-14 schedule with a trip to the New England Women's Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament on October 18th, 2013 as well as a full slate of spring matches leading, hopefully, into the program's fourth NCAA Tournament appearance.
