CCC Athletes of the Week Release
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced their weekly awards and freshman Colin Bannon (Westport, Conn.) was awarded his third Rookie of the Week nod on the season for his efforts in the 2-0 week for the Blue and Green that helped the nationally ranked squad improve to 9-2 (5-0 CCC) overall.
Bannon recorded two goals and two assists in the 13-2 victory over Wentworth while he picked up a pair of groundballs and one caused turnover. The attacker tallied points in three of the four quarters for the Gulls, highlighted by a pair of goals early in the first.
In the cross-town rivalry matchup against Gordon, the rookie earned a career high six points with his four goals and two assists effort in the 26-6 triumph while picking up three groundballs and a caused turnover. In the first quarter Bannon led with two goals and an assist as the Blue and Green took the 11-1 edge entering the second quarter where he tallied one more goal before halftime. To wrap up his week he earned an assist and a goal in the third quarter.
As of this morning Endicott maintains their #15 national ranking posted by the USILA and holds the #8 spot in the NEILA Regional Rankings.
The Gulls will see action next tomorrow, Tuesday April 8th when they travel to #6 Tufts for a 7:00 p.m. start.
