SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Endicott men's lacrosse junior attackman Kyle Weber (West Hartford, Conn.) was named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his collegiate career in a 1-1 week for the 17th-ranked Gulls who lost a double-overtime game against #15 Springfield and beat Roger Williams 13-5 to improve to 5-2 (2-0 CCC) this season.

Weber, who was a one-time CCC Rookie of the Week during his 2012 freshman campaign, accumulated nine points on the week on seven goals and two assists with four ground balls and a caused turnover in two starts. Weber upped his season totals to 21 points, tied for the team lead, 14 goals, and seven assists offensively.

In Endicott's 13-12 2OT loss to Springfield, played at the National Training Center in Clermont, Florida, Weber scored a season-high four goals on six shots on goal (.750). He scored the first two Endicott goals as the Gulls raced out to a 5-0 lead over the Pride in the first quarter. Later on in a back-and-forth battle in the fourth quarter, Weber had two straight tallies with 3:36 and 2:05 remaining in regulation to give Endicott the 12-11 lead.

Against Roger Williams, Weber registered a five-point game for the second time in his career as he netted three goals and assisted on two more in a landslide, conference win for Endicott. Two of Weber's goals came in the opening quarter as Endicott jumped out to a 5-2 lead by the end of one period of play. Weber assisted on Nick Pinciaro's (Beverly, Mass.) first to two goals to open up the second quarter, assisted on Harrison Cotter's (Lordship, Conn.) fourth goal of the game at the 10:57 mark of the third, and tacked on an unassisted tally to complete his own hat trick with 2:40 left in the fourth quarter.

Weber and the Endicott men's lacrosse team return to action on Tuesday, March 25th with a neutral site game against New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) opponent Middlebury at 4:00 pm on the campus of Brown University. Endicott (5-2) and Middlebury (2-4) will be facing off for the first time since the 2005 season.
