BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott football student-athletes Craig Anderson (Franklin, Mass.), Drew Jones (Philadelphia, Pa.), and Sam Ouellette (Rochester, N.H.) have all earned weekly honors from the New England Football Conference (NEFC) for their performances against Nichols College last Saturday.

Anderson claimed NEFC Defensive Player of the Week accolades, while Jones was named the Defensive Rookie of the Week and Ouellette garnered Offensive Player of the Week laurels. Freshman running back Johari Johnson (Rockville, Md.) also earned a spot on the NEFC Weekly Honor Roll.

In the Gulls 42-14 win over the Bison last weekend, Anderson registered a single-game program record four sacks and added a team-high seven tackles (all solo). Anderson's four sacks accounted for 14 yards lost and aided the Gulls to a single-game team record 10 sacks.

Jones also helped Endicott's defense establish its single-game sack record along with holding Nichols to -60 yards rushing by compiling four tackles (2.5 TFL), two sacks, and a fumble recovery (all single-game career-highs) in the win.

Much like Jones, Ouellette posted a career day against Nichols as the sophomore quarterback recorded five touchdowns (three passing and two rushing) to go along with 224 yards of total offense. Under center, Oullette went 18-for-31 (58.1%) and registered 216 yards passing, while as a rusher Ouellette picked up two touchdowns in the second half of the game to lead the Gulls to their first victory of the 2015 season.

Johnson had a career day as well as the freshman running back carried the ball 12 times for 86 yards (7.2 per carry), and punched home a 40-yard touchdown (first career) in the second quarter of the contest. Johnson, whose 40-yard scamper gave Endicott a 21-7 advantage at the time, also registered a 19-yard kickoff return in the win.

Endicott (1-3, 1-0 NEFC) hosts NEFC foe MIT next Saturday at 12 p.m. on Homecoming Weekend.
