Anderson Earns CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-America First Team Honors

CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-America Division III Football Team

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott junior defensive lineman Craig Anderson (Franklin, Mass.) has been named to the 2015 Capital One Academic All-America Division III football first team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Anderson is now the sixth Endicott student-athlete to claim CoSIDA Academic All-America honors joining Gregory Capece (Men's Soccer), Holly Davis (Women's Lacrosse), Mike Lane (Football), Colleen Pepin (Women's Soccer), and Mike Zupkosky (Football) on the illustrious list.

Anderson also joins Capece as the only student-athletes on the list to claim first team laurels from CoSIDA. 

On the field this season, Anderson compiled nine sacks and 44 tackles (27 solo, 17 assisted, 4.4 per game) to earn New England Football Conference (NEFC) All-Conference first team honors.  Anderson currently ranks first in the NEFC and No. 29 among all NCAA Division III linemen (198 ranked) in sacks.

In the classroom, Anderson sports a 3.86 cumulative grade point average (GPA) as a criminal justice major. Anderson has earned several academic awards during his career at Endicott including NEFC Academic All-Conference accolades and Endicott Academic Club laurels in addition to his pair of CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District first team honors.

Endicott posted a 5-5 record overall, and a 5-2 mark in NEFC play in 2015.
