BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott College sophomore pitcher Tyler Connelly (Grafton, Mass.) has been awarded regional recognition, as the ECAC named Connelly the New England Pitcher of the Week late Wednesday night. Connelly was named TCCC Pitcher of the Week as he no-hit Eastern Nazarene just eight days ago.
In his no-hit effort against the Crusaders, Connelly struck out six batters, retired six on the ground, eight through the air and picked off one. In the second inning, Connelly struck out the side after a walk, a stolen base and an error allowed an ENC runner to reach third base with no outs. Effectively wild, Connelly walked and struck out six batters in the win.
In Connelly's most recent outing, he logged another victory as he and the Gulls crusied past Nichols College, 14-6. The sophomore righty is now 2-0 with a 2.57 ERA. Endicott returns to action on Thursday afternoon as it travels to Springfield, Mass. to meet the Pride of Springfield College.
