Box Score Game One - Box Score Game Two

BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott College got a pair of solid complete game outings from Colin McGinn (Tolland, Conn.) and Alex Judge (Wilton, Conn.), as the Gulls swept visiting New England College in a wet and cold double-header on North Field in Beverly, Massachusetts on Sunday afternoon. The pair of wins improve Endicott to 10-5 overall and a perfect 4-0 in TCCC play. NEC slips to 8-12 overall and 1-7 in the conference.

New England College starter Ryan Blaine (Concord, N.H.) was quick to record two outs in the home half of the first inning in game one, getting Aaron Santos (Cambridge, Mass.) to fly out to center and then inducing a pop-out from Chris Carillo (Bethel, Conn.). It appeared as if Blaine had the side retired as Dan Gomez (East Longmeadow, Mass.) hit a sharp line drive to left, however Matt Leger (Concord, N.H.) mishandled the fly ball, allowing Gomez to reach on the error. The Gulls made the Pilgrims pay for the fielding miscue, as Brian Andersen (Grafton, Mass.) clocked a two-run homerun into the right field bullpen, giving Endicott the early 2-0 lead.

The two-run cushion was all Colin McGinn would need, as he carried a perfect game into the fifth inning before walking Dan Pratt (Concord, N.H.) and surrendering a double to Jordan Morgan (East Weymouth, Mass.). Morgan's two-bagger would be New England College's only hit of the game, as McGinn mowed through the visitor's lineup to earn the 5-0 win. The sophomore righty improved to 2-1 as he tossed seven innings, allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out seven.

In game two, Alex Judge settled in nicely on the hill, allowing just three hits and one run to notch the victory. The Gulls pounded-out 11 hits in the, 14-1, thumping of the Pilgrims. Dan Gomez smacked a pair of hits and drove in two for the Blue and Green. The senior catcher also scored three times in the win. Freshman Luis Uribe (Boston, Mass.) continued his impressive rookie season, batting 3-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored.

Endicott looks to stay on the winning track, now having won four-straight. The Gulls will retake the diamond on Tuesday as they look to tackle the Bison of Nichols College for a TCCC twinbill in Dudley, Mass. These two teams have been postponed three-times already this spring. Game one is slated for a 2:00 p.m. first pitch. New England College hopes to rebound on April 12th, as the Pilgrims make their home-debut against Salve Regina at 12:00 p.m.
