BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott College's Tyler Connelly (Grafton, Mass.) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week, as announced the conference office on Monday. Connelly tossed a no-hitter against Eastern Nazarene to earn the weekly award.
In his one outing of the week, Connelly blanked Eastern Nazarene, 7-0, en route to the no-hitter in game two of the double-header. Connelly struck out six batters, retired six on the ground, eight through the air and picked off one. In the second inning, Connelly struck out the side after a walk, a stolen base and an error allowed an ENC runner to reach third base with no outs.
Endicott returns to action on Tuesday as the Gulls travel to Dudley, Mass. to square-off with Nichols College in a TCCC double-dip. The Gulls went 4-0 last week in conference play to improve their overall record to 10-5.
