Women’s Cross Country Places Third At CCC Championship

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Endicott women's cross country team finished third overall at the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship, hosted by Western New England, on Saturday afternoon.

CCC newcomer Suffolk University took first place honors behind a score of 73 points.

The University of New England (76), Endicott (81), Salve Regina (88), and Roger Williams (96) rounded out the top-5, while Gordon (111), Wentworth (205), and the host Golden Bears (220) concluded the list of scoring teams in the championship.

Individually for the Gulls, Cassandra Cosma (Center Moriches, N.Y.) and Brianna am Ende (East Lyme, Conn.) produced CCC All-Conference performances by finishing seventh (24:40) and 12th overall (25:16) on the 6-kilometer course, respectively.

The top-15 runners in the field are awarded CCC All-Conference honors.

Meanwhile, Michaela Kenney (Springfield, Mass.) finished 16th overall (25:27), Ella Aldrich (Winchester, Mass.) was 22nd (25:58), and Julia Adrian (Noank, Conn.) ranked 24th (26:15) in Endicott's top-5.

  • Cosma and am Ende earned their first career CCC All-Conference accolades.
  • The two CCC All-Conference honors ties a program record for the Gulls.
  • Endicott's top-5 only had a 1:35 gap.

Endicott will compete in the NCAA Division III East Regionals on Saturday, November 13 at Franklin Park (Boston, Mass.).
