Women’s Cross Country Comes In Second At Bowdoin Invitational

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Endicott women's cross country team placed second overall at the Bowdoin Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Bowdoin took top honors with 15 points, while Endicott (57), Emmanuel (82), and St. Joseph's of Maine (94) followed in respective order.

Cassandra Cosma (Center Moriches, N.Y.) highlighted the Gulls' efforts with an eighth place finish on the 6-kilometer course in 26:02.9.

The rest of Endicott's top-5 included Michaela Kenney (Springfield, Mass.), Brianna am Ende (East Lyme, Conn.), Julia Adrian (Noank, Conn.), and Ella Aldrich (Winchester, Mass.). The foursome ranked 10th (26:11.2), 12th (26:19.0), 13th (26:24.5), and 22nd overall (27:09.3).

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • First appearance at the Bowdoin Invitational since 2018 (does not count 2019 NCAA Regionals).
  • Cosma was the top rookie finisher in today's race by nearly seven seconds.
  • The Gulls registered a 1:06.54 differential between their No. 1 and No. 5 runners.

Endicott will compete in the Keene State Invitational (Keene, N.H.) on Saturday, October 2.
