SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Endicott women's volleyball team will compete in the 2014 CCC Tournament as the #4 seed as it was announced by league commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Saturday evening. With the regular season conference schedule in the books, the Gulls will enter their CCC Quarterfinal match on Tuesday, November 4th against #5 University of New England with a 15-15 (5-3 CCC) record.
Tuesday's CCC Quarterfinal will be a home match for the Gulls, taking place on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
The University of New England Nor'Easters (11-15, 4-4 CCC) will be playing Endicott for the second time in the last week as the two teams squared off on October 28th. In that regular season match-up in Beverly, Mass., the Gulls swept the Nor'Easters by scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-14. Setter Alleigh VandeMerkt (Riverside, Ill.) notched 34 assists while guiding Endicott to a .293 hitting percentage.
Despite a loss in their final regular season game Endicott had a strong end to October, going 4-0 over their last four matches in the month, all by way of a 3-0 sweep.
