Trudon Receives ECAC Libero of the Week Honors After 31 Dig Performance

ECAC Players of the Week 9/3/14

DANBURY, Conn.- Following her 31 dig performance in Endicott's five set victory over Wellesley, sophomore libero Erika Trudon (Coventry, Conn.) has been named the ECAC DIII New England Libero of the Week as announced by the ECAC office.  This is the first ECAC Libero of the Week honor for Trudon, and it is the fourth time an Endicott women's volleyball player has received a weekly award from the ECAC in program history.

Trudon's 31 digs tied her career high and helped the Gulls defeat the Blue for just the second time in program history while also holding Wellesley to a .153 hitting percentage.  The sophomore averaged an astounding 6.2 digs per set, significantly higher than her career average of 4.19 digs per set.  Trudon and the rest of the Gulls now turn their sights to this weekend's Endicott Invitational as they play host to four regional powers in Babson, Plymouth State, UMass Boston and Bowdoin on Friday and Saturday.  The tournament kicks off Friday night at 5:00 p.m.
