  • Endicott Women’s Volleyball Announces Trudon, VandeMerkt and Watts as Captains for 2015

    BEVERLY, Mass.- Coming off two straight seasons that ended with post season appearances in the ECAC tournament, the Endicott women’s volleyball team has its sights set on claiming the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) title, something the team hasn’t done since 2008. With a challenging schedule ahead in the 2015 season, the players have elected Erika Trudon (Coventry, Conn.), Alleigh VandeMerkt (Riverside, Ill.) and Lexi Watts (San Diego, Calif.) as captains to lead them.
  • Forty-Six Endicott Student-Athletes Named Fall 2014 CCC Academic All-Conference

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced their Fall 2014 Academic All-Conference Team and Endicott was the leader of the pack with 47 honorees across seven first semester sports that included men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s tennis, and women’s volleyball.
  • Petrucci Invited to NEWVA Senior Classic on December 7th

    NEW LONDON, N.H.- Following a senior season in which she set multiple career high personal records, senior Jessica Petrucci (Cape Coral, Fla.) has been invited to compete in the 2013 NEWVA Senior Classic. The Classic will be held on Sunday, Dec. 7th on the campus of UMass Boston.
  • Endicott Falls in ECAC DIII New England Finals; VandeMerkt Sets Career High Against WNE

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- After defeating the University of Southern Maine on Wednesday in ECAC DIII New England quarterfinal action on Wednesday, the #4 Endicott women's volleyball team traveled to Western New England to play the #1 Golden Bears in the semifinals. Following a 3-2 upset of their CCC foes, the Gulls advanced to the finals for the first time since 2010 where they faced another CCC opponent in Salve Regina, ultimately falling 3-0 to close out the season with an 18-17 record.

  • Erika Trudon Named AVCA All-New England Honorable Mention

    LEXINGTON, Ky.- Following a season in which she eclipsed the 1,000 dig plateau as just a sophomore, Endicott libero Erika Trudon (Coventry, Conn.) has been named to the AVCA All-New England Honorable Mention team. Her All-Region honor comes a week and a half after being named to the All-CCC Honorable Mention team as well. Endicott defeated the University of Southern Maine 3-0 on Wednesday in the ECAC Quarterfinals and will now travel to Western New England on Saturday to face the Golden Bears with the winner advancing to the ECAC DIII New England Championships.
  • Gulls Sweep USM To Advance to ECAC Semifinals; Trudon Surpasses 1,000 Career Digs

    BEVERLY, Mass.- In their quarterfinal match of the ECAC DIII Volleyball New England Championships, #4 Endicott was able to sweep the Huskies of the #5 University of Southern Maine (USM) to advance to the semifinals on Saturday, November 15 where they will play host Western New England. With the win, the Gulls improve to 17-16 on the season under 15th year head coach Tim Byram while the Huskies wrap up their 2014 campaign at 18-14 under first year head coach Diane Newell.
  • Endicott Earns #4 Seed in ECAC Volleyball Tournament; Set to Host #5 Southern Maine

    DANBURY, Conn.- The ECAC announced the field for the DIII New England ECAC Championships on Monday, and Endicott has been selected to the field of seven. Following a 16-16 season to date which saw their CCC postseason run end in a thrilling five set loss to #1 Roger Williams, the Gulls have been named the #4 seed in the seven team tournament and will host #5 Southern Maine on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
  • #4 Endicott Comes Up Just Short in Upset Bid Against #1 Roger Williams in CCC Semifinals

    BRISTOL, R.I.- Looking to avenge a 3-0 loss from the regular season and hand a loss to a Roger Williams team that went undefeated (8-0) in regular season conference play and earned the top seed, the #4 Gulls came up just short, falling in five sets in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Semifinals. With the loss, Endicott falls to 16-16 on the season and will now await a possible berth into the ECAC tournament. Roger Williams (21-5), moves on to face #3 Salve Regina (20-9), who upset #2 Western New England (19-12).
  • #4 Endicott Rides Strong Offensive Performance to Defeat #5 UNE 3-1; Gulls Travel to #1 RWU Thursday

    BEVERLY, Mass.- Squaring off the for the second time in the last week, #4 Endicott defeated #5 UNE 3-1 to advance to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women’s Volleyball Semifinals for the 13th straight season. The Gulls (16-15, 5-3 CCC) will square off against #1 Roger Williams (20-5, 8-0 CCC) on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. while the Nor’Easters (11-15, 4-4 CCC) end their 2014 campaign. Endicott took the 3-1 decision after winning by set scores of 25-21, 25-12, 18-25 and 25-20.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- On the morning of the team's Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Quarterfinal match against the University of New England, the Endicott women's volleyball team learned that four players had received All-CCC recognition for their play throughout the course of the regular season. The Gulls saw Tori McIntyre (San Diego, Cali.) receive First Team honors, Alleigh VandeMerkt (Riverside, Ill.) receive Second Team honors, and Haley Knapp (Valencia, Calif.) and Erika Trudon (Coventry, Conn.) receive Honorable Mention nods.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The Endicott women's volleyball team travelled to Western Mass. today to take on Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) foe Western New England (WNE) on Saturday and came up short, falling 3-0 in straight sets. With a current record of 15-15 (5-3 CCC) after 30 regular season matches, the Gulls sit in fourth place and have earned a first round home match in the upcoming CCC tournament. Time, date and opponent are awaiting announcement from CCC Commissioner Gregg Kaye.
  • Women's Cross Country Finishes 4th at CCC Championship; Haynes Named All-CCC

    WENHAM, Mass.- Looking build upon this year's successful regular season, both cross country programs competed at the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championships hosted by Gordon. The women were paced by Erin Haynes' (Oakham, Mass.) sixth place finish as the team finished fourth while the men were led by Zachary Marshall's (Hinesburg, Vt.) 17th place finish to place 6th at the meet.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Endicott women's volleyball team will compete in the 2014 CCC Tournament as the #4 seed as it was announced by league commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Saturday evening. With the regular season conference schedule in the books, the Gulls will enter their CCC Quarterfinal match on Tuesday, November 4th against #5 University of New England with a 15-15 (5-3 CCC) record.
  • Endicott Sweeps UNE Behind 34-Assist Night from VandeMerkt

    BEVERLY, Mass.- With both teams entering the match with identical 4-2 records in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play, the Endicott women’s volleyball team recorded a commanding 3-0 victory over the visiting Nor’Easters of the University of New England (UNE) to improve to 15-14 overall while UNE drops to 11-14. The Gulls now have a pivotal match on the horizon as they head to Springfield, Mass. to take on Western New England, a team that currently sits at 18-11 overall and 6-1 in CCC play following a 3-0 loss to Roger Williams this evening. UNE looks to bounce back as they host Salve Regina, a team that enters with a 16-9 (5-2 CCC) record.
  • Gulls Sweep Curry and Salem State on Senior Day to Improve to 14-14

    BEVERLY, Mass.- Endicott played host to CCC foe Curry and North Shore foe Salem State on Saturday in women’s volleyball action and the host Gulls claimed two 3-0 sweeps on the day. Endicott defeated Curry to improve to 4-2 in CCC play by scores of 25-11, 25-19, 25-15 before taking care of Salem State 25-7, 25-9 and 25-13 to improve to 14-14 on the year overall. Endicott now turns its attention to Tuesday when they will play host to CCC foe University of New England (UNE) at 7:00 p.m. Bot teams enter the contest with four CCC wins on the season while UNE has just one loss heading into a Sunday match at Roger Williams at 2:00 p.m.
  • Endicott Sweeps Eastern Nazarene to Improve to 3-2 in CCC Play

    QUINCY, Mass.- Looking to move back above .500 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play, the Endicott women's volleyball team traveled to Eastern Nazarene and earned a 3-0 sweep to improve to 3-2 in CCC action. With the win, Endicott improves to 12-14 (3-2 CCC) on the season and has a chance to move to an even .500 on the season as they host Curry and Salem State for a tri-match this Saturday. Matches will be played at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.
  • Endicott Drops Pair of Matches to NESCAC Foes Amherst and Tufts

    MEDFORD, Mass.- The women's volleyball team traveled to Tufts University on Saturday to compete in a tough non-conference tri-match against Amherst and host Tufts and fell to both by 3-0 scores. The Gulls fell to Amherst in the first match by set scores of 24-26, 20-25 and 12-25 before falling to Tufts 19-25, 16-25 and 17-25. With the losses, Endicott drops to 11-14 (2-2 CCC) on the season and stays on the road for a Wednesday match at Eastern Nazarene on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
  • Gulls Struggle Offensively, Fall 3-0 to Seahawks

    BEVERLY, Mass.- Endicott and Salve Regina met in a pivotal Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) volleyball match on Wednesday night and the Seahawks offense would prove to be too much for the Gulls as the visitors left with a 3-0 sweep. Salve used a potent offensive attack to stun Endicott as the Gulls struggled to maintain any consistency on their side of the net. With the loss, Endicott falls to 11-12 (2-2 CCC) on the season while Salve improves to 14-7 (4-1 CCC).
  • Gulls Finish Leo Invitational After Going 1-1 On Day Two; Knapp Named to All-Tournament Team

    CLAREMONT, Calif.- Competing in the second day of the Leo Invitational, the Endicott women's volleyball team was able to go 1-1 on the day, defeating Whittier via a 3-0 sweep before falling to host Pomona-Pitzer in the same fashion. With the 1-1 day, Endicott finishes the Leo Invitational with a 1-3 record, evening their 2014 record at 11-11 (2-1 CCC) on the season. The Gulls now return home and await a Wednesday night CCC match against Salve Regina in a battle of one loss teams in conference play.
  • Women's Volleyball Falls to Va. Wesleyan and La Verne on First Day of Leo Invitational

    LA VERNE, Calif.- The Endicott women's volleyball team squared off against Virginia Wesleyan and host La Verne on Friday night in the first night of the Leo Invitational and came up short, dropping both matches by 0-3 scores. The Gulls fell to 10-10 (2-1 CCC) on the season, as Virginia Wesleyan improved to 17-5, and La Verne to 12-3. Endicott travels to Claremont, Calif. on Saturday to take on Whittier and host Pomona-Pitzer at 1:30 and 4:00 p.m. EST (10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. PST).
  • Endicott Offense Too Much to Handle For Wentworth as Gulls Hit .327 as a Team

    BOSTON, Mass.- Looking to get back on the winning track, the Endicott women's volleyball team traveled to Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) foe Wentworth on Tuesday and left with a convincing 3-0 sweep of the Leopards. Endicott out-hit Wentworth .327 to .056 on the night, paving the way for a 25-17, 25-14, 25-14 three set victory to improve to 10-9 (2-1 CCC) on the season while Wentworth fell to 9-9 (2-2 CCC). Endicott now turns their sites to the west coast as the team will compete at the Leo Invitational hosted by La Verne and Pomona-Pitzer this Friday and Saturday.
  • Endicott Falls to CCC Rival Roger Williams in Three; Knapp Leads with 6 Kills

    BRISTOL, R.I.- When Endicott traveled to Bristol, R.I. on Friday to take on Roger Williams (RWU), the regular season matchup pitted two teams that have combined to win nine of the last 10 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championships against each other. The Gulls would struggle against the Hawks in this chapter of the rivalry, falling in straight sets by scores of 21-25, 19-25, 15-25. Endicott, now 9-8 (1-1 CCC) is off until Tuesday when they travel to Wentworth before departing for California to play in the Leo Invitational, hosted by Pamona-Pitzer and La Verne.
  • Endicott Sweeps Brandeis with Impressive Offensive Performance

    BEVERLY, Mass.- The Endicott women’s volleyball team swept through non-conference foe Brandeis on Tuesday, winning easily by scores of 25-13, 25-15 and 25-14. For Endicott, it was the second straight season defeating Brandeis as the Gulls swept the Judges in 2013 as well. With the win, Endicott improves to 9-7 (1-0 CCC) on the season while Brandeis falls to 5-10 (0-0 UAA).

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Following a 1-1 week in which they swept cross-town and Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) rival Gordon to kick off the team’s conference schedule, Endicott women’s volleyball players Tori McIntyre (San Diego, Calif.) and Elise Morgan (Holbrook, Mass.) took home CCC Player and Rookie of the Week honors respectively.
  • Morgan Leads Gulls to Homecoming Sweep Over Gordon

    BEVERLY, Mass.- Competing in their portion of Endicott’s Homecoming festivities, the women’s volleyball team swept Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) and cross-town rival Gordon 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-15). Endicott was able to hit at nearly a .300 clip while holding Gordon to just a .051 average. With the win, Endicott improves to 8-7 (1-0) while Gordon falls to 7-8 (0-2).
  • McIntyre's Monster Performance Not Enough as Gulls Fall to Chargers 3-1

    Beverly, Mass.- The Endicott women’s volleyball team continued their long-standing rivalry with Colby-Sawyer on Thursday night and the Chargers edged out the hometown Gulls, three sets to one to claim the victory (21-25, 21-25, 25-15, 22-25). The highly contested affair marked the 28th time the two teams have met and the Gulls still maintain an 18-10 lead in the series. With the loss, Endicott falls to 7-7 on the year and returns to action against CCC and North Shore rival Gordon on Saturday as part of Endicott’s Homecoming events. Colby-Sawyer improves to 11-4 on the season and returns to action on Saturday as well as they play host to a tri-match with Emmanuel and Brandeis.

    HARTFORD, Conn.- The Endicott women's volleyball team traveled to Trinity College today to compete in a tri-match against a pair of NESCAC opponents in Williams and host Trinity. The Gulls would suffer two setbacks on the day, falling to Williams 3-0 before dropping a 3-1 decision to Trinity. With the losses, Endicott falls to 7-6 on the season and returns to action on Thursday night when they play host to Colby-Sawyer, a former CCC rival before Colby-Sawyer moved to the NAC.
  • Endicott Continues Strong Play with Four-Set Win over Simmons

    BOSTON, Mass. – The Endicott women’s volleyball team won for the fifth time in their last six matches on Wednesday evening by defeating GNAC opponent Simmons 3-1 (25-17, 25-23, 19-25, 25-19) behind 14 kills (.295) from sophomore outside hitter Tori McIntyre (San Diego, Calif.), 43 assists and 11 digs from senior setter Alleigh VandeMerkt (Riverside, Ill.), and 18 digs from sophomore libero Erika Trudon (Coventry, Conn.).

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- After a four win week that included a come from behind five set victory over the top team in the region, the Endicott women's volleyball team sweat the weekly Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) awards as announced by the conference office on Monday. Hayley Knapp (Valencia, Calif.), Erika Trudon (Coventry, Conn.) and Cydney Pierce (Santa Barbara, Calif.) were named Player, Defensive Player, and Rookie of the Week respectively for their stellar play.
