DUDLEY, MA - Endicott College went on the road and won five of six in singles play to get past Nichols College, 7-2, Saturday.
The Gulls also took two of three in doubles action to win their seventh straight match and open the season at 7-0 (6-0 CCC). Endicott has only lost three of its 21 matches in doubles, including a 7-0 run at second doubles.
Blythe Langley (North Hampton, NH/Winnacunnet) and Lauren Gibbons (Shaker Heights, OH/Shaker Heights) were victorious at first doubles (8-2) while Kate Roundy (Simsbury, CT/Simsbury) and Nicole Leveille (Atkinson, NH/Timberlane) took second doubles, 8-3.
Winners in singles play were No. 2 Langley (6-0, 6-0), No. 3 Gibbons (6-2, 6-0), No. 4 Stephanie Branch (Boothbay Harbor, ME/Boothbay Harbor), 5-7, 6-4, 10-5, No. 5 Leveille (6-3, 6-2) and No. 6 Allison Auer (Bedford, NH/Trinity), 6-0, 6-3.
