Four Gulls earn All-TCCC honors

Four Gulls earn All-TCCC honors
Springfield, Mass. – The Endicott women’s soccer team was well represented on the All-The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Team with four players earning nods as it was announced today by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye.
Senior midfield \#Kayla Corbett\# (Danvers, Mass.), senior defender \#Victoria Hunt\# (Cumberland, R.I.) and junior forward \#Colleen Pepin\# (Fairhaven, Mass.) each were named to the All-TCCC First Team and sophomore defender \#Caitlin Peters\# (Salem, N.H.) was awarded All-TCCC Second Team.
Corbett played in all 13 conference games this season and tallied 14 points in those games with five goals and four assists. Three of her five goals were game-winners, including two in back-to-back conference road games. For Corbett, this is the second time being named all-conference. She was named Honorable Mention All-TCCC for the 2008 season.
Hunt anchored a Gulls backfield that allowed 1.08 goals per game in 13 in conference matches.  Endicott’s 14 goals allowed was second best in the regular season thanks in large part to Hunt’s stellar play. She was also active on the offensive end of the field with three goals and two assists against TCCC foes. All three of her goals came in victories, scoring against Regis, Curry, and New England College. Hunt was previously named Honorable Mention twice in 2008 and 2009.
Pepin, the TCCC’s leader in goals and points for the 2010 season, makes her third straight appearance on the All-TCCC team after being named First Team in 2009 and Honorable Mention in 2008. Pepin scored 16 of her 17 overall goals at conference opponents and also tallied four assists. She led the TCCC highest scoring offense to a league-best 49 goals and 3.77 goals per match.
Peters guarded the Endicott backfield along with Hunt in all 13 conference matches this season as she earned her first All-TCCC bid in her young collegiate career. The sophomore locked down opposing strikers all season long and pushed the Endicott offense forward with strong play on free kicks and set pieces.
The TCCC awarded Player of the Year to Laurin Pendleton (Roger Williams), Rookie of the Year to Hannal Noel (Roger Williams), Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year to Katherine Lee (Colby-Sawyer), Coach of the Year to Abigail Jackson (Roger Williams) and the Team Sportsmanship Award to Anna Maria College.
The \#2 seed Endicott (13-5-1, 11-2 TCCC) takes on the \#7 seed Curry (9-9, 7-5 TCCC) in the quarterfinals of the TCCC Tournament on Saturday, October 30 at Endicott Stadium starting at 1:00 pm. The Blue and Green defeated Curry 5-1 back on October 13 in Beverly. The game will be webcasted via Endicott All-Access and live stats are offered as well via the links below.
