Beverly, Mass. – Five players tallied goals as the Endicott women's soccer team opened Homecoming Weekend with a convincing 6-0 win over Anna Maria at Endicott Stadium. \#Vanessa Caruccio\# (Winthrop, Mass.) led the way with a pair of first half goals to keep the Gulls' unblemished conference record intact. The Blue and Green improve to 8-2-1 overall and 6-0 in TCCC play while Anna Maria drops to 0-8-1 overall and 0-6 in the conference.

Goals were plentiful in the first half for the Gulls, who took a 4-0 lead into the break before tacking on two more in the second frame.

Junior forward \#Colleen Pepin\# (Fairhaven, Mass.) opened the scoring in the 4th minute. Senior defender \#Sarah Johnson\# (Harrisville, R.I.) moved the ball forward down the left wing and played a cross toward the far post. Midfielder \#Kayla Corbett\# (Danvers, Mass.) made a nice touch on the ball across the box where Pepin calmly placed a header into the back of the net.

Johnson and Corbett connected for another assist less than ten minutes later. Johnson's corner kick floated into the penalty area in time for Corbett's run. The senior skipped the ball to sophomore forward \#Chelsea Garlock\# (Meriden, Conn.), who finished with a volley into the top corner.

In the 34th minute, Caruccio padded the lead with her first of the night. The sophomore forward beat a defender at the top of the box and chipped the ball over AMCAT goalkeeper Tabitha Ruggeri (Sturbridge, Mass.).

Seven minutes later, \#Victoria Hunt\# (Cumberland, R.I.) got into the scoring mix with an assist off a set piece. The senior defender took a free kick from the left wing and found Caruccio open at the penalty line. The headed goal capped a four-goal first half for Endicott.

Hunt picked up another assist in the 64th minute after her cross from the right wing met the foot of \#Kayla Plante\# (Sanford, Maine). The senior midfielder's first goal of the season put the hosts up 5-0.

In the 84th minute, reserves \#Chloe Moeller\# (Ellington, Conn.) and \#Katy Hasek\# (Burlington, Mass.) hooked up for Endicott's final goal of the evening. The goal was the first of the season for the freshman Moeller.

Endicott held a strong advantage in shots (43-1) and corner kicks (19-1). \#Natalie Wyrsch\# (Dover, N.H.) did not have to make a save to earn her fourth shutout of the season.

Anna Maria's Tabitha Ruggeri made 17 saves for the visitors.

The Gulls return to the pitch on Tuesday when they travel to Wenham for a showdown with TCCC-rival Gordon. Anna Maria hosts Regis the same night.
