Six Gulls Earn NCR All-America Honors

NCR ALL-AMERICA TEAMS

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott women's rugby student-athletes Sarah Aylwin (Topsfield, Mass.), Caitlin Burke (Dudley, Mass.), Cassidy McElhinney (Natick, Mass.), Tess Merrill (Greenwich, N.Y.), Kaitlyn Quinn (Salem, N.H.), and Jourdan VanAmburgh (Selkirk, N.Y.) have been named National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) All-Americans, as announced by the organization earlier this week.

Merrill is now a two-time award winner, while the rest of the group earned their first career honors, respectively, giving the Gulls the most women's All-Americans of any college across any division.

Endicott accomplished the feat by winning the 2022 NCR Small College 15s National Championship over No. 4 nationally ranked Lee University, 24-12.

The Gulls' road to winning the national title included victories over No. 8 Salve Regina (CCRC Championship, 71-7), No. 13 Colby (NCR Regionals, 27-14), No. 1 Cortland (NCR Regionals Championship, 31-27), and No. 2 Northern Michigan (NCR National Semifinals, 24-12).

For her efforts in the tournament, VanAmburgh was named the NCR Small College National Championship Most Valuable Player (MVP).
