No. 3 Women’s Rugby Blanks UMaine-Farmington, 41-0

BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 3 nationally ranked Endicott women's rugby team defeated UMaine-Farmington, 41-0, on Sunday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.

Tess Merrill (Greenwich, N.Y.) led the Gulls with two tries.

Elektra Cheney (Collinsville, Conn.) also added one try and three conversions in the win, while Kaitlyn Quinn (Salem, N.H.), Grace Kenkel (Brunswick, Maine), Katelyn Gemmell (Andover, Mass.), and Jourdan VanAmburgh (Selkirk, N.Y.) all found the try zone once to round out the scoring.

Defensively, Endicott pitched its third shutout of the season and second by an identical 41-0 score. 

Additionally, UMaine-Farmington entered this weekend's contest receiving votes in the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Women's Small College Top-20 Coaches' Poll.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (5-0, 5-0 CCRC) will compete for the CCRC Championship on Sunday, November 6.
