No. 2 Women’s Rugby Handles Wentworth On Senior Day, 100-5

BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 2 nationally ranked Endicott women's rugby team defeated Wentworth, 100-5, in conference action on Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.

Prior to the match, seniors Amelia George (Holyoke, Mass.), Allyson Belknap (Glen Rock, N.J.), Kylie Breen (Norfolk, Mass.), Jourdan VanAmburgh (Selkirk, N.Y.), Carolina Stubbs (Newtown, Conn.), Summer Cardoza (Edgartown, Mass.), Caitlin Burke (Dudley, Mass.), Kaitlyn Quinn (Salem, N.H.), and Cassidy McElhinney (Natick, Mass.) were all honored for their contributions to the program and the Endicott community. 

As for the match, Elektra Cheney (Collinsville, Conn.) highlighted the Gulls with two tries and seven conversions.

Grace Kenkel (Brunswick, Maine) also added four tries, while Tess Merrill (Greenwich, N.Y.) contributed three tries and three conversions.

Alongside those top-tier performances, Breen and VanAmburgh chipped in with two tries apiece, while Jessica Parkinson (Middlefield, Conn.), Caitlin Padeck (Easthampton, Mass.), and Kaitlyn Quinn (Salem, N.H.) found the try zone once, respectively. 

Quinn was named "Player of the Match" for running the Gulls' attacking offense with great field vision while making hard tackles on defense.

No. 2 Endicott (4-0, 4-0 CCRC) hosts UMaine-Farmington on Sunday, October 23 at 12 PM.
