April 30, 2008

BEVERLY, Mass. - The Endicott College women's lacrosse team had four players receive TCCC All-Conference honors, including sophomore Valerie Feldman (Albany, N.Y.) who was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Year as announced Wednesday by Commissioner Greg Kaye. Three other Gulls earned honorable mention while head coach Kate Mullen was named Co-Coach of the Year.

Feldman is currently second on the team in goals (47), assists (19), and overall points (66). The sophomore delivered several outstanding performances this season including an 11-point performance against New England College. Feldman had seven goals and four assists, leading Endicott to a 19-13 victory.

Freshman Kellie Cunningham (Derry, N.H.), and junior Molly Moss (Yarmouth, Maine) join Feldman as members of the TCCC All-Conference First Team. Cunningham currently leads the team in both assists (29) and overall points (73). Cunningham captured TCCC Rookie of the Week honors twice during the regular season. Moss played stellar defense all season long, assisting Endicott in holding their opponents to the second lowest shots on goal total in the conference. The junior also contributed on offense with 17 points on 10 goals and seven assists.

Sophomore Alex Pearce (Underhill, Vt.) was named to the All-Conference Second Team and is the Gulls current goals leader with 49. Pearce has been an offensive force all season, recently leading Endicott past NEC in the TCCC Quarterfinals by scoring a total of nine goals.

Senior Emily Judd (Peabody, Mass.), junior Katie Leighton (Saco, Maine), and goalkeeper Molly Hamel (North Yarmouth, Maine) also earned All-Conference honorable mention for the Gulls. Judd is the team-leader in groundballs (65), draw controls (55), and caused turnovers (38), while also scoring 12 goals and dishing out 17 assists. Leighton has been a key component of the Endicott defense, scooping 33 groundballs on the season and helping the team earn a shutout versus Nichols College. Hamel has been one the best goalies in the conference all season, and is the only one to record a shutout. She currently ranks fourth in conference in save percentage at .503.

Kate Mullen was recognized as the TCCC Co-Coach of the year after leading Endicott to an undefeated conference record of 10-0. Mullen has guided her team to back-to-back TCCC Championships in her first two years as head coach. The Gulls have gone 43-14 overall under her tenure.

The Endicott College women's lacrosse team will take on rival Gordon College in a TCCC Semifinals match-up on Thursday at Endicott Stadium in Beverly, Mass. Game time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
