Box Score

WENHAM, Mass. - Four Gulls scored in double-figures as the Endicott College women's basketball team breezed past Gordon College 68-41 on Saturday afternoon in Wenham, Mass. Endicott won its sixth game in-a-row and improved to 15-4 (6-1 TCCC) while the Fighting Scots drop to 4-15 (3-4 TCCC). Ashley Vitale led all Endicott scorers with 13 points to go with seven rebounds.

After falling behind early, Gordon went on a 6-0 run to pull within 9-8. The run was stopped by a rare 4-point play from Nicole Duchesne (Plaistow, N.H.) who was fouled as she sank a 3-pointer. Her free throw shot put Endicott up 13-8, and the Gulls built that into a 38-21 lead at half. The Gulls would never trail in the contest as Endicott used its stingy defense and transition offense to stay on top of the Fighting Scots.

Duchesne added 11 points while Ashley Wright (Merrimack, N.H.) and Nicole Young (Rockland, Mass.) each chipped in with 10 points. Endicott had 13 steals and forced 21 turnovers by Gordon.

Junior forward Rebecca Carroll (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) led the Scots in both points and rebounds, totaling 13 and eight respectively. Heather DeKleine (Wayland, Mich.) had a pair of three-pointers and Kim Levinsky (West Caldwell, N.J.) also hit from behind the arc.

The Blue and Green return to action on Wednesday in a TCCC matchup with Colby-Sawyer at 8:00 p.m. at MacDonald Gymnasium in Beverly, Mass. Gordon will hit the court again on Wednesday when they travel to face Regis College at 5:30 p.m.
