2016 USTFCCCA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM LIST

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's cross country team has been named to the 2016 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Cross Country Team list. The Gulls posted a 3.32 cumulative grade point average (GPA) to join 172 other programs in receiving the award.

To be considered an All-Academic Team, a program must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Meet, and also produced a minimum team GPA of 3.10 on a 4.0 scale.

Academically, senior Benjamin Cherry (Kennebunk, Maine), juniors James Dwyer (Berlin, Conn.) and Zach Marshall (Hinesburg, Vt.), and sophomores Patrick Finocchiaro (Salem, N.H.) and Eric Owens (Manchester, Vt.) stood out among the team as all five student-athletes were named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Academic All-Conference team for having a GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.

As a program, Endicott tied its best finish in program history at the 2016 CCC Championships with a second place showing behind a score of 69 points. The Gulls only conference championship in program history came in 1998 when Endicott was a member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC).
