WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Endicott men's cross country team finished 19th overall out of 41 teams on Saturday afternoon at the James Earley Invitational, held at Stanley Park.
Brandeis University claimed top honors in the meet with 68 points, while Tufts University finished second (108), and Norwich University placed third (189) to round out the top-3 teams.
For the first time in his collegiate career, James Dwyer (Berlin, Conn.) led the Gulls with a time of 27:26.81 on the 8-kilometer course, good enough for 75th place overall. Zach Marshall (Hinesburg, Vt.) ranked second on the squad, and 78th overall in 27:30.83, while Patrick Finocchiaro (Salem, N.H.) came through in 27:51.00 (106th overall).
Freshmen Will Connelly (Barrington, R.I.) and Adam Germaine (Guilford, Conn.) concluded Endicott's top-5 in 146th (28:24.56) and 191st place (29:03.20), respectively.

"The men ran tough after a fast start to the race and stepped up to the adjusted pace as the race developed," said Endicott men's cross country head coach Spencer Lange. "It was great to see the course for regionals now as we continue to focus on our health over the next few weeks in preparation of the CCC conference championship."
