Will Connelly Named CCC Men’s Cross Country Rookie Of the Week

CCC MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY WEEKLY RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott freshman Will Connelly (Barrington, R.I.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.

In his collegiate debut last Saturday (9/3) at the Roger Williams University (RWU) Invitational, Connelly paced the Gulls with a 10th place finish on the 5-kilometer course at Colt State Park in a time of 17:04.98.

Connelly also was the second freshman overall to finish the race – behind Colby-Sawyer's Peter Bakker – and the first freshman among all CCC competitors to cross the finish line. Additionally, Connelly's time of 17:04.98 was nearly 45-seconds better than the second-best freshman in the CCC.

Endicott returns to action this Saturday at the University of New England (UNE) Invitational at 10:45 a.m.
