Men's Tennis Tops Curry, 8-1

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's tennis team posted an 8-1 victory over Curry College on Tuesday afternoon at the South Campus Tennis Courts.

Endicott swept doubles as Christos Papadopoulos (Weymouth, Mass.) Collin Dinardo (Westport, Mass.) earned an 8-0 win at the No. 3 spot, while Keaton McCleary (Charlotte, N.C.) Daniel Rinkert (Ben Lomond, Calif.) followed up with an 8-3 victory at the No. 2 flight. Justin Toler (Concord, N.H.) Cooper Walters (Madeira Beach, Fla.) then completed the sweep with an 8-1 triumph at the No. 1 position.  

In singles action, Papadopoulos started things off with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at the No. 5 position, while Dinardo sealed the match for the Gulls in a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at the No. 6 flight. The squad also saw Toler, Walters, and McCleary all come away with singles wins at the No. 4 (6-0, 6-3), No. 2 (7-5, 6-0), and No. 3 (6-4, 6-3) spots, respectively.

"We stayed aggressive throughout the match," said Endicott men's tennis head coach Anthony D'Angelo. "Our guys definitely earned a day off tomorrow."

  • Endicott is currently 4-1 at home on the season.

Endicott (6-5) has a couple of days off before they travel to Eastern Nazarene on Thursday, April 4 at 3:30 PM. Curry (2-8) hosts Wentworth on Saturday, April 6 at 12:00 PM.
